ska!!! pickitup pickitup........especially the 2tone era nga mga ska
well im forever rakista...
I am not bound be genres but some of the bands and music i love fall into these categories:
insurgent, cowpunk, bluegrass, newgrass, folk, folk rock, freak folk, dirt road, roots rock, jazz, traditional country, power pop, punk, soul, rockabilly, psychobilly
My girl-friend (not girlfriend mind you) listens to a lot of Paramore, Forever The Sickest Kids, Avril Lavigne, and Hey Monday. Generic crap if u ask me but because i stop listening to radio since 2004 and because i don't attend many "emo" and "pop punk" gig sponsored by SMash FM, i little dose of these mainstream sound holds the balance of my eardrum..
Cause admit it, these type of music is not originally bad. It's the "overplaying" and "misrepresentation" of the genre that makes it bad. Not to mention these new bands emerging just to take advantage of the genre's popularity.
And too bad in these culture i didn't see any counter-action or countercultural events happening. Youths of today are buying the craps instead of opposing it.
Where's the Bob Dylan and Kurt Cobain of this generation![]()
