    I have posted this before and I'll post it again:

    In the old testament:
    This is what God intended it to be - Genesis 2:24-25 says, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” Hebrew 13:4 says, “Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.”

    Jude 7 indicates that Sodom and Gomorrah’s punishment was due to their sexual perversion. As further evidence of the sinful nature of homosexuality, Leviticus 18:22, and 20:13 both describe homosexuality as “an abomination.

    In the new testament:
    In Romans 1:26-27 Paul is very specific, “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.”

    (Here is another transalation of the same verse by the New International Version Bible Romans 1:26-27) 26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

    In 1 Corinthians 6:9, Paul wrote, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.”

    The Greek word from which the King James Bible gets the word “effeminate” is malakos, which literally means something soft to the touch, but is used as a negative metaphor to refer to a boy kept for homosexual relations with a man. The “abusers of themselves with mankind” are those men who engage in unnatural sexual relations with other men – homosexuals. That is also how the NASB, the NKJV, and the NIV translate that verse. Also in the New Testament is verse 7 from the book of Jude, defining exactly why Sodom and Gomorrah were punished – homosexuality.

    If you consider yourself a real christian the primary purpose of your life is to love God with all your heart, mind, and soul. God never said living a christian life is easy. On the contrary he actually said the opposite. When you become a christian you do not follow your own deceitful heart and indulge in selfish desires anymore but follow God's heart. If he says homosexuality is a sin then you must follow him and not do it. God actually wants you to be like him and do anything according to his will. The Bible are for those who heed his call. So if you call yourself a child of God take his word to heart and follow him. For those, who do not believe and follow the christian God the bible does not apply to you, God will never force you to love and follow him and his commands. Its as simple as that really.

    tumpak! and that is what I've been trying to say...not just for a "homo" but to each and everyone...those who are controlled by drugs anymore...lustful acts...those who depends on money..those who are addicted to something...etc...etc...

    it has been undeniably a sad fact that when people talk about these kinds of issues, other people would always 'tag' the bible into it... for the very obvious reason that it would "somehow" shut people's mouth, the fact that one would be condemned if they don't go parallel with what was written in the bible.

    years ago, i attended this religious seminar which was more about spiritual life, self-proclamation, and self-awareness. by that time, i was already aware of my orientation. i remembered one of our seminarians/preachers told us..."God will always love us for who we are, regardless of the decisions we make.."

    it somehow enlightened to where i should take myself... noting the word "always". i've never felt guilty following what my heart says.

    just because we DON'T TOTALLY GO PARALLEL with the bible doesn't give "other" people the license to condemn us more than they condemn the al qaeda for terrorism and other country leaders for corruption.

    this made me realize that the same seminarian's quote was somewhat true..."if people would judge other people for what they see, and believe in it...then they are no other but sinners as well... for no one should judge what they see in their naked eyes... they should judge for what they "REALLY" feel in their hearts, much as how God judged HIS people!"
