oh yea, but in all fairness. one thing i didn't really like about rizal was that he did not fight for independence of the philippines from spanish colonial rule. rather he fought for reforms. through his works, he sought to show the spaniards that the philippines was sick and that spain had to do something to change the way they operate in the phils. it would have been better if rizal fought for independence, like what bonifacio did. nevertheless, rizal was a great man. he was a free and liberal thinker who chose to take the more diplomatic route in showing his love for the country.
