sorry you didn't get my point. 250 watts reqd on a 300 watts psu means higher temps compared to a 250 watts on a 450 watts psu. he is saying that ang excess kay ma convert into heat which is dili ingon ana ang case. i don't have Laws that support my experience. as RUELNOV said.

it's better pa man gani nga i-oversize nimo ang PSU to as much as double the actual full load sa CPU aron duna kay ready standby power in case ur system needs it, esp. if ur on heavy graphical applications.

kon duna pai mo-argue ani, see me in person nalang and i will explain in detail why.

but be prepared to understand highly-technical terms like High Ripple, Poor Regulation, Parasitic Oscillations, etc. that are inherent with Sagging Power Supplies.

Consumption of power generated from the psu to power the motherboard mostly priorities the power consumption of a cpu or a processors. if it is not met other components that are connected to the motherboard are slightly affected by this method. in that case you should be aware and prepare for that by allowing your system to have at least 10-25% allowance or room for future needs. if your system requires 350 watts of power then you should make an allowance up to 400-450watts. In this case you cannot also generalized all kinds of psu are zero tolerance. that is why it is called "GENERIC" just like GENERIC medicine(it can cure you but not generic medicine cures you faster). I think it is the budget that really counts here regarding this matter and nobody else but the user itself.

I think you should stop this nonsense of yours cause it doesn't help more people here.

i didnt tell that its not good to have bigger wattage, i even said that its good specially if one wants to have many accessories in his CPU box.

new Fujitsu HDD nowadays can resist forces of 900 G @ 1ms non-operational, and 300 G @ 2ms operational. Case vibrations will not damage a HDD since it is too low. Dropping it is another matter. Again, magnetic heads now are more stiff.
