to start avoid calling them "magicians" cause they are merely illusionists.

To tell you honestly, even though both have vast differences, magicians (what you consider illusionists) and the magick-practicioners (what you call "magickians") also have LOTS in common. (and its nothing to do with 'sleight-of-hand'..)
