Pac and Arum have already said that Pac is gonna expect more than a 50/50 split.
PBF is not gonna fight anyone for less than 50/50 at this point in his career.

That's the truth, for all of you who insist on blaming PBF everytime something goes wrong in boxing. If this fight dont happen, its just as much Pac and Arum's fault as it is Floyd's.

the only reason why he's fighting marquez cause he's building his fight with the pacman..... marquez was the only fighter who gave manny a hard time and was thought to won that 2nd fight if not for that knockdown... a win against marquez would stir things up for the biggest fight of this year!!!! this is a marketing strategy by mayweather.... as i say it once more boxing is not only a sport but also a business..

oh a build up for the superfight, well guess what after getting a safety WIN against JMM & a WIN/DRAW/LOSS against MP (hopefully the latter), he's going to announce his nth time of retirement cause he's bored with the sport,he's done everything to prove that he's the best,he's beaten the best yada yada yada, 'cause Mayweather knows if he continue fighting people would clamor for a fight against the best @ WW which obviously is scared as hell knowing that someone out there has a chance to beat him, isn't it ironic that WW has one of the loaded divisions in boxing yet the so called "the BEST" kept retiring after fighting small guys...?

that's a big possibility the fight wouldn't happen due to purse split conflict, MP definitely deserves a minimum off 55% of the total purse especially if the official PPV sales against Hatton would surpass the Hatton-Mayweather fight but no worries MP is good in negotations & has a lot of options & Mayweather needs more money due to financial reasons 4 sure they can work it out...

hehehe yep i was rooting for hatton but i didn't bet cause na pobre ko atong panahona hahaha swerte rapud.... mao pag tn-aw lg nnako sa fight kang pacq nlg ko ni laban kai bati pud ako ra usa mag hatton hahahaha but i was still rooting for hatton deep inside but sadly he wasn't that strong against manny... hehe i admit manny was way to good for hatton....

I said that because I'm not even sure if Floyd beats Marquez despite his monumental advantage in size.. but we'll see..

hehe ...kana nuon bai PBF v MP kung madayon murag madaug na jud ka ana, but i'd still be favoring pac - he surprised me on the outcome on most of his fights!...i'll be rooting for PBF against JMM, JMM is getting old, 36 years old...i remember the fight JMM v Chris John napildi JMM...and comparing Chris John and PBF makes me think more of JMM on the losing end...

^^that fight with Chris John was definitely a home decision... if they were to fight again, I don't think Chris would last 3 rounds... even had a hard time with Juarez... Don't forget JMM did just beat a young and upcoming Juan Diaz... Although a fight with PBF would be a very tough one coz of size and skill... if there's one thing I've learned in boxing is that you never count out those guys, anything can happen... pro in the end PBF ghpn ko ani... hahaha... it would've been nice if JMM could win this so that a fight with Manny can really seal the deal...

WITH a striking second-round knockout over his former ward, British superstar Ricky “Hitman” Hatton, boxing trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. still isn’t convinced that Filipino ring icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is a great boxer.

Floyd Sr. firmly believes that his son, former pound-for-pound king Floyd Jr., will defeat Pacquiao if both can figure in a mega match.

“I don’t think Manny Pacquiao is a good fighter,” said Floyd Sr., who believes his son is still the best fighter in the world, in an interview by 8CountNews.com.

Floyd Jr. will come out of retirement and face former Pacquiao nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez on July 18.

Floyd Sr., who called Roach a ‘Joke Coach’ and ‘Cocroach,’ also stands firm on his past comments that he is better than the three-time Boxing Writers Association of America Trainer of the Year.

“Do I think Freddie Roach is a good trainer? No,” he said.

On the other hand, even if Floyd Jr. calls himself the best in the world, Roach still believes the 30-year-old General Santos native is the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter.

“So much for truth in advertising. We all know who the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter is and his name is Manny Pacquiao. They can call Mayweather-Marquez ‘No.1,’ but it smells like No.2,” said Roach.

The boxing coach thinks the upcoming war between Floyd Jr. and Marquez would turn into a lackluster fight because both fighters have similar counter-punching styles. He also feels that Floyd Jr. is a fake because he ditched a possible mega-fight with Pacquiao and rather chose a bout with Marquez and announced it before the outcome of the Pacquiao-Hatton battle.

“The fight stinks. Two counter-punchers waiting for the other one to make the first move is boring and proves nothing. If Mayweather wanted to prove he was the best, all he had to do was wait one day to see who won the Pacquiao-Hatton fight before signing to fight Marquez. You might as well rename him Fraud Mayweather Jr.,” said Roach.
