Anyway, I'd go with what most people are suggesting in this thread. Go with "stable" banks if you're here in Cebu: BPI, Metro, BDO. Union Bank has slightly higher interest rates for time deposits (e.g. If 2.75 lang sa BPI, 3.75 sa Union). Just surf the net or call the banks. The rates keep changing.
If you have that much, split your cash so it's still covered by PDIC, but if you trust the bank, place everything as lump sum. If you have 1M, you can get your 26K to 30K interest after 1 year (if I remember the BPI bank personnel right). The rate changes every time your time deposit matures and gets renewed. I hope this helps.
Requirements are more or less the same. 1x1 or 2x2 photos, 2 photocopies of two valid IDs and your application form.
