Anyways ....why man Army imo gi pili bai ? The Airforce got the ladies , the Army got the rifles , the Navy got the beer , ladies , and FUN ! Hehehehe ...

@ EZRA ... bro naa gyud diay tao na ingon ana . I thought ive seen it all sa tao personality wise , wala pa man diay and saw some personalities here @ iSTORYA na wala nako makita after 32 years of existence and 8 years of duties involving different kinds and types of people in the US . Grabe ni si MANOK RAKA ! Bow ko ani niya hahahaha !!

hahaha usa sa akoang dream kay mahimong green berae(correct me if I'm wrong)/special forces. pero ang green berae(correct me if I'm wrong, again)/special forces kay mentally, physically and intellectually prepared ka... ako physically and mentally prepared ko pero intellectually mura mag lisod ko. for short daghan kaayo skulling ang special forces.

hahaha bitaw airforce has the girls but airforce needs brains not brawn. for the navy sad every port report and naa raka sa barko sige, mura dili kaayo exciting or adventurous nya hinay ang ranking... ang naka ganahan nako sa army kay ang rank dali(in 2-3 years you can be a corporal=E-4 or a sergeant=E-5) and if nindot imong performance ma master sergeant=E-8 ka in 10 years. i need an adventurous job that requires risky missions and adventurous ones. hehehe most people gani told me to go to the navy and the airforce cause dili kuno kuyaw. pero ang naa sa akoang heart kay mo join sa army or sa marines...

nindot onta ang marines pero ang ranking sa marines ang lisod gud kaayo. tungod sa ka gamay nila(mura wala ka tunga sa army) lisod kuhaon ang rank. and grabeh ang physical and intellectual training para maka saka ka sa rank... i have heard that most sergeants took 4-5 years before sila naka abot sa ilang rank.

    @ JOSHUA ....

What you said are pretty much URBAN LEGENDS bai and whoever said that to you are just plain in the RECRUITING STAGE of SUGAR COATING everything to meet their quota hehehe . I am not speaking in behalf of the Navy since I am an ex squid but I can guide you to the right path since US Armed Forces shares the same system .

    - It is called GREEN BERET ( special unit of Army ) and DELTA FORCE ( counter terrorism of Army )
    - To be in the service , you have to be PHYSICALLY / MENTALLY and INTELLECTUALLY honed to make it .
    - Dili lang kay sa gyera na kinahanglanon but to the well being of the individual so you'll not end up like the rest of the cry babies of the US military .
    - Same sa Army .... naa ra ka sa base pirme . Sa Navy naa ka sa barko is entirely wrong . Naa ka sa RED LIGHT DISTRICT , yes ! Sa bar fights , we always win against the jarheads too hehehehe .
    - The advancement of an indivudal matters to the command you belong to and second na ang imohang RATE or MOS ana bai .
    - In the US Military , for you to SUCKceed , you have to SUCKrifice , trust me ! Grabe politics bai .
    - I made E-5 in 4 years but got stuck with it for the next 4 years also till I got out . My friend became a chief in 10 years , thats E-7 and no impossible ang E-8 in 10 years bai .Naa man na pattern sundon . Kana mga ma advance ug E-7 in 8 to 10 years ... mao na ang mga banggiitan na kaayo bai . SO imagine an E-8 advancement , you are good if you make in that in your 15th year of service .
    - Indeed follow what your heart says but by saying AIRFORCE and NAVY dili kuyaw is not true . I served in Mogadishu , SOmalia / East Timor , Indonesia ( before ) / Eritrea and Ethopia separation / 3 tours to Iraq and the first to rescue the casualties of USS COLE in Yemen . So imagine that bai considering I am not a combatant in the fielf of rate I am into but I have to undergo gihapon ana .
    - Goodluck ana bootcamp nimo and dili tanan sulti sa recruiter nimo is tinuod bai .

Aguy .... hehehe . I served in 96 to 04 . 8 years ra ko active and I almost enlisted in the Nevada National Guard pod but thank God I made the right choice of coming here in Cebu . Right now I am enrolled in USC taking up a course I liked while the Montgomerry GI Bill paid for it 100% , VFA ( Veterans of Foreign Wars ) took care of my disability pension and Veterans Affairs took care of my medical , dental and vision needs . Indeed being in the military is worth it .

My advice to you , 2 ra ang pilian nimo . get out of the Army after your first tour or stay as long as the Army needs you . I was stucked in the middle part and mao akong sayop , I could have finished my studies years ago or kung ni padayon ko kay 1 more tour and retire with 20 years of active service .

Again ... America is PARADISE bai .... AFGHANISTAN isnt ! Hahahaha !

@ MR KYME ... the US military doesnt earn good money . Its the benefits that counts that provides the livelihood of the bachelor and with dependent servicemen . Imagine lang if ang benefits kay monetary value ... I'll be damn !

That what I am trying to explain in my previous replies about being deployed and stationed overseas . Langkaton na nimo tanan , danger pay / separation pay / tax free / hazardous pay / floating allowance / clothing allowance / bonus / SRB ( selected reenlistment bonus ) which in short for a booter ( anyone E3 and below ) can make as $5,000 a month easy .

Bai ... not to discourage you , I met a girl ( pinay ) in USDVA ( United States Department of veterans Affairs ) in Manila . She used to be a part of special unit deployed in Iraq . Praning na karon and she is only 21 years old hehehe . Nahurot ang platoon niya and 3 sila nahabilin in an ambush , iyahang tapad is na head shot ang sa iyahang nawng ni pisik ang dugo . Grabe war shock niya and flashbacks . She got discharged for mental problems bai but the government took care of all her needs .

Again AMERICA is still PARADISE , even if you dont have money ... hence money cant buy happinnes then its safe to say that if you live a simple life in the US , bahala wala ka naka SUPRA and work to make 70K a annually and able to save 300K , it is still fine because Americans are enjoying freedom right now .
