lami unta i-invest lagi, im thinking of a jollibee but daghan man kaayu requirements ui..mag huna2x lang sa ko but asap gyod ko kelangan mag deposit..

@angel: mao gyod bai, 3. something raman sa BDO, mu-try ko ugma sa metro ug pnb..naa sad sa hsbc daw, dollar account, mas daku rate..basin naa pamo lain ma-recomend or suggest..

ayaw na lang pag franchise ug jollibee if hasulan ka...best jud ang mag mutual fund kay with your 5k...maka return naka ana ug mga almost 12% per year..tax free pa siya...for emergency fund ra man jud na ang bank..to tell you..but if ganahan jud ka dali mo daghan imong money...maau jud if mag mutual fund but mas maau if makasabot jud ka how mutual fund work...i myself is a financial broker man...dili na lang jud kaau ko active...

On Topic: Payts sab baya time deposit pero you really need a large amount para maka take advantage ka. Ug mag time deposit kag ginagmay, pila ra tawn ang interest makuha per year.

Anyway, I'd go with what most people are suggesting in this thread. Go with "stable" banks if you're here in Cebu: BPI, Metro, BDO. Union Bank has slightly higher interest rates for time deposits (e.g. If 2.75 lang sa BPI, 3.75 sa Union). Just surf the net or call the banks. The rates keep changing.

If you have that much, split your cash so it's still covered by PDIC, but if you trust the bank, place everything as lump sum. If you have 1M, you can get your 26K to 30K interest after 1 year (if I remember the BPI bank personnel right). The rate changes every time your time deposit matures and gets renewed. I hope this helps.

Requirements are more or less the same. 1x1 or 2x2 photos, 2 photocopies of two valid IDs and your application form.
