the PC somewhat operates like this: the CPU uses it's cache as a temporary storage for data that will be frequently used. if the cache cannot handle it, then, it loads the data into the RAM, which is slower than the cpu cache. if the RAM cannot hold anymore, then, this time the cpu uses virtual memory on the HDD, and would cause some of these "slowdowns". well, that's just me. i might be wrong.![]()
