Your bond depends on the policy you fall into, but not 1 month = 1 year.
As for the policy that i am very familair with, Assignment < year, bond is 6 months; assignment >= year, bond is 1 year. The reason for this is for you to actually share the knowledge you've got from your assignment.

doesnt matter whether you are an engineer or 2 yr courser lang, like nako i am computer tech but lexmark sent me to KY,usa for 3 months. grabe ila investment kay allowance, stay tanan full support. two thumbs up for lexmark.....
we were wave 2 for lexmark project sa cebu, sent to usa last nov then uli last feb, mura rami ga suroy suroy kay every weekend interstate. nice experienced!!!!
from US Visa interview hantod pa uli cla gasto, pati excess namo baggage from US cla bayad. lexmark the best.

XLIBRIS Philippines - sends Executives, IT Admins, Accounting, Sales and HR to US.. no bonds or whatsoever, but that was before it was sold. To a point where they sponsor one to (Green Card) permanently stay in US with family.. dont know how true.. but that was the story i heard.
