I feel bad for the people who have lost their jobs and are fighting to feed their families. There's a lot of suffering out there.

I know... a few of my friends diri sa NYC kay mga taga Bangko. Ang katung mga contractors/consultants maoy pait kay mahal man gud sila ug rates so they're the first to go. Karon nag lisod gyud silag pangita ug trabaho.

I know what you mean, EZRA. Ang ig-agaw sa akong bana, he used to run a moderately successful trucking company (closely tied w/ the construction biz) that he worked so hard for and spent many years building from the ground up. The business went poof, he applied to so many companies, jobless gyud siya for a year, maayo gani kay wala nawad-an trabaho iyang wife. He just got a job in a retail company making minimum wage.
Some people I know have been "forced" to work part-time. Wala gyud sila'y option, otherwise ma fire out sila. Dili gyud lalim oi, even ang mga naay trabaho, wala'y sure. At the back of our minds, we might be next. Everything's still on shaky ground.

Hutdan na kog pangutana? Dude, wa man gani ka mo tubag sa uban nakong pangutana. The simple question of your restaurant's name - you even dodged that. Your chef's name... High end man kaha inyong place?

Like I said... you were not obligated to answer but then if mo demand pa kag pangutana, you should answer the rest of the questions THEN you can have the audacity to ask for more.

Karon alibi nimo kay para experience, why did you stay at that job for two years? 2 Years flipping burgers and cleaning trays and tables is a bit too much just for the sake of experience.

By the way - you don't have to be such an ass towards me just because I'm questioning your credibility. I just find your story hard to believe. Ug ni ingon pa kag "Naa rana nimo bai ug dili ka mo tuo" - It would've made more impression on me compared to your being very defensive about it.

Your situation's not as far apart as mine, dude (considering if your STORY is true). The only difference between us is that I wasn't outrageously paid by my mom. And wala nag sakit akong dughan - we're merely having a conversation, this is not a pissing contest.

Again... I compared you to my friend because you're in the same industry.

    ...

BY THE WAY.... the executive chef of that place you mentioned is Gregory Hutchinson and the Sommelier is Patrick Mullane. Did JOSE HERNAN change his name? Village CA Bistro and Wine Bar, right? Not really high-end but it's classy nonetheless.

    -------

So - you actually liked working in Mickey D's? `Cause another friend of mine used to manage a Mickey D's down in FL and he hated it the whole time. Again, you don't have to be very defensive and confrontational - I am not forcing you answer my questions.

I know there are some very fortunate kids whose parents have made it big here in the US. If these parents spoil their children, give them everything they want, that child cannot claim to say that he can easily buy a $300,000 house w/o telling people "I never spent for my own self in the past." That is besides normal. And these kids sometimes act like that's normal everyday life, needless to say, they try to act innocent of what everyday life is for ordinary people in the US. Regardless if they came from a rich family in PI, but decided to be independent and work for their own selves. The key here is independence.

Be proud if you became rich by your own self. People born with the silver spoon do not deserve as much credit as one who became rich through his own hard work. But still, that's life. Some kids are just born rich. Pareha ra gud na ni Bush ug ni Obama, asa man ka mas bilib? Ni Bush? whose presidency was like handed to him, pwerte pung datua, but look at Obama. Lahi ra kaayo.
