tanan software compatible ani?? most of the software kay compatible man gud sa MICROSOFT..

dili tanan... naa mga alternative na mga softwares noon. if you really like to use word then you got WINE. di lang 100% na mo dagan mga softwares na modagan, kasagaran naa pa sa beta. or di dyud mo work.

Hmmmm... this is what I'm doing:

On two office PC's, I'm running Ubuntu on one and Kubuntu on the other, using OpenOffice for documents, etc.

But for my gaming PC, I use Windows XP x64. The sad reality is, a gaming computer is bound to windows nowadays.

Which is not to say you cannot run some great games on Linux. The Quake series is Linux compatible, and many good Windows games run with WINE.

When Steamgames goes Linux, then I can really let go of Windows. However, for an office setup, I've already found Linux to be the better choice over Windows.

Guys, is there like a "Noob's Guide to Ubuntu" or something..

I really wanted to try out Ubuntu or linux...but don't have a good compiled file to look at for reference... most especially regarding how to incorporate gaming (windows based games) and other softwares like the ones mentioned (autocad, pshop, etc.) into linux system...

Ang mga drivers ra man gud is for M$ Windows. Mao na wla sila support sa Linux.

I don't think printer drivers are that big an issue in Linux. There are many built in drivers for printers already. Here's a list of printers I use on Linux:

EPSON RX-510 (with scanner)
EPSON C43SX
HP PSC 1410 (with scanner)

Most of the time, they're automatically detected. I also have a Logitech QuickCam on one unit.

among gamit diri sa office pulos linux (around 30 units in all branches), desktop, print server, database server, router, ako ga configure sa tanan, daghan na driver ang linux, among printer diri kay lq300+, hp1020, hp1022 ug uban pa, wala may problema, gamit lang ko ug generic driver ug wala jud exact driver, ok ra man resulta.

Nag experiment gani ko karon sa biometric scanner nga digital persona, walay problema kay ma download ra ang free sdk sa ila site.

another question.. bay unsaon man nako pag install sa ms office 2003 kay kailangan nako ang outlook kay para sa amo email.. common man gud sa amo ang outlook.. ni gamit nako ug wine dili man gihpn mo install.. mo hang up lang man sya.. after ana kung ma install man.. ask nasad ko pwede ba nako ma link ang outlook sa other networks?? mao nalang ang kulang nako..
