    I use 5-6volts on my CPU and case fan to turn down the noise, temps stay the same.

    Ok ranang 12V basta 12V ang voltage rating sa imong fan. Dili rapud na siya madaot if the voltage you are supplying is under the voltage rating it would just simply turn slower.

    You can get +7V just hook the supply wire of the fan to 12V and the ground wire to 5V.

    it's designed for 12v, plug it into a 12v supply.
