tungod sa retention clip of amd (am2/am2+/am3), the xigmatek can only be positioned one way (fan blowing up) compared to the intel 775/1366.
if you going for looks (case w/ window sidepanel) and you have an amd board, i suggest the v8. because you can point the fan blowing towards the rear while looking at the cooler master logo in the right orientation. hehe... ^_^
I'd go for the V8. I know quite a handful using them. In fact..it's hard to come by these days..lol
I know this is OT but, just wanted to share..i'm using a V10 and umm...installation is a pain..T_T
a lot of people prefer the V8 over this since they say it packs too much power to be actually worth clocking for. At least that's what I've read.
The V10 is nice but its too big and costs too much for how it performs. No offense.
@EarlZ
None taken.
I'm not into techies but I did read a couple of reviews. Most of the reviews were done with a rig that failed to go head to toe with the V10. Hence, a lot of them says that it has room for more powerful procs. A mere 2k pesos difference in price compared to the V8 with a possibility of being better is good enough for me.
As far as Aesthetics goes...I like the huge beast.lol. But If they had the V8 when I inquired, I would have taken it in a heartbeat.lol
blowing up d.i ang fan sa dark knight if AMD?.. hmm. bati.a gd.. hay salamat... v8 nlng jd cguro
yup, basta amd. tungod sa orientation of the retention clip. if lahi ang orientation like in the emaxx 780g pro board. blowing to the rear ang fan.
there are cases na lower ang temps if blowing up like less 1-2 degrees. pero di nimo ma appreciate ang bling2 sa fan. hehe... ^_^
