iTunes mistakenly released their iTunes store download statistics. They aren't supposed to show stats for American Idol contestants because it might influence the voting public. Anyway, they screwed up (for the second time, I understand). If iTunes downloads are any indication of how voting is going, Adam Lambert is way ahead, with an astounding 7 tunes in the Top 10. Kris Allen is a very distant second and Danny Gokey third. Allison is fourth while Matt brings up the rear.

If iTunes is an accurate reflection of popularity and somehow correlates to votes, Adam Lambert will be the runaway winner this season and Matt Giraud will be eliminated next.
