People nga in the industry do not take the MMFF seriously... and I mean the real people in the industry who do the hard work, like the production designers, sound people, lighting and cinematographers... who did their best working under the delusional guidance and Himalayan egos of directors and producers too full of themselves...

lahi kaayo ang batasan talaga ng mga directors and producers-- they don't have this kind of ruckus in the Oscars or Golden Globes... and especially in the Oscars where politicking is just as potent as a great cinematic performance... the only people who criticize the results are the critics and the people... but the producers or the filmmakers, wala lang...

sometimes i think these Pinoy filmmakers(and I refer to those on top, with the Himalayan egos) forget talaga why they make films in the first place-- it is to entertain, enlighten an audience with a compelling story. That's what drives young people into the business in the first place... and its a business too, so the best gauge of how good a film is not just an award stating its great but how it fares in the box office, i think the producers(the money grubbers that they essentially are) should be satisfied with that and keep their huge egos shut. It's all subjective baby...
