How's this issue now? Well, why don't we ask our honorable senators who initiated investigation-in-aid-of-legislation with regard to this matter. Ask Mr. Palengke where his investigation headed. If I am not mistaken, the latest I knew is that the World Bank reiterated it's first admission that its report did not contain anything that alleged regularities by the First Gentleman, whom Sen. Lacson earlier accused as being in connivance with the contractors. After that, the Senators asked to be briefed by the WB executives as to the conduct of their own investigations. Probably after seeing light, the Senators realized they cannot put down PGMA through this. They can go on and investigate the contractors that were involved and look deeper into any possible connivance with government officials. In that way, they can help cleanse the government of these corruption activities without necessarily accusing the president without basis.
