honestly, i don't like another Darchinyan fight. not at this point since morag pareho ra gihapon ang mahimong outcome sa first fight.

Donaire is on a different level. he needs more fights in higher weight divisions from quality opponents who could handle his strength and counterpunching. mas kailangan niyag challenge para mas mo-improve siya and i don't think Darchinyan is the answer at this moment.

i'm not a Donaire hater, but here's my questions for you bro:

    1. how sure are you that the outcome would be the same?
    2. don't you think fighting against the undisputed champion at super flyweight is not the answer at this moment?
    3. don't you think Darchinyan is not a quality opponent who defeated Cristian Mijares & Jorge Arce?
    4. who do you think the fans want for Donaire? can you name your so called quality opponents ? ? ?

i know for a fact that Gary Shaw is protecting his money cow w/c is Darchinyan, but i think Darchinyan should settle his loss w/ Donaire to prove that he's truly better than Donaire. He's been saying that he'll KTFO Donaire on their next meeting & i'm just hoping that this fight will materialize soon.

ND vs VD II --> this could be a very interesting fight..

okay sis, just to make myself clear, i'm not a Donaire fantard since i'm not claiming he's already at a top 10 p4p class level. however i do recognize a huge potential from him and he can get to that level if he improves by engaging in more tactical fights that would test his counterpunching and his own strength.

    now to answer your questions:
    1. sure, that's how i see it judging from their styles unless one of those two will dramatically change (for better or for worse) then maybe it would become more unpredictable.
    2. nope, he needs a couple more fights at 115 or 118 before he starts entertaining Darchinyan. and yes i'm aware how much Shaw cares for his lone one dimensional money cow and hates his unloyal former ward
    3. not so much, because there's hardly any change in style between the Darchinyan who beat Mijares and Arce and the Darchinyan who got knocked the f*cked out and forced to do a chicken dance by Donaire
    4. Montiel for one

i'm not saying that Donaire should close doors for Darchinyan but in my opinion, i would rather have Darchinyan and Shaw chase Donaire themselves rather than the other way around. sila maoy pilde, sila maoy dapat mangunay og challenge. that cracking KO in their first meeting was no fluke. Darchinyan had it coming.

IMO, Donaire and Darchinyan doesn't need each other to be great. BUT if they fight again, hopefully down the road, it will be good for boxing. I don't like Darchi, but I have to give the guy props for fighting the best possible opposition and resurrecting his career after that devastating loss. As for Nonito, the win on Sunday should hopefully give him momentum to show the world that he's for real and can be considered in the top 10 p4p.

for the record, it was only one of the very few times nga ni fight to c Martinez sa flyweight. Mostly ang iyang fights kay naa man sa bantamweight (11 ug superflyweight (115). but yeah, I agree nga dako ra para sa 112 division si nonito

    - for sure darchi will have a more improved chicken dance if ever they'll have a rematch.

    - im not yet quite familiar w/ the champs @ 118 though. i'll do a lil research on that. who do you think is the remaining foe in 115? nobuo nashiro?

    - a fight w/ Montiel could also be good, but i think Montiel is already having talks w/ a rematch w/ Gorres. not sure though. but this could be a very interesting fight..

    - it sure ain't fluke after winning the best KTFO & Upset of the year.

enough of this darchi crap. gudnyt ya'll..

i could give credit to Darchinyan for choosing Mijares. i thought Mijares was going to win that fight by skill alone since he's been touted before as a great match-up for Donaire. it turns out that Mijares can't handle Darchinyan's punches despite Darchinyan being quite an open target. that's why the prospect of him fighting Donaire became less palatable and especially now that Mijares lost another fight after Darchinyan.

definitely no fluke. but it was an upset only on paper. watching the actual fight, you could see the difference in their skills. it's not like the knockdown was a surprise after watching the first 4 rounds. i guess if there was a slight surprise, it was Nonito being able to handle a couple of strong punches from Darchinyan without getting KO'ed.

on another topic, i'm interested in Penalosa's fight. tan-aw nako morag siya ang dehado og underdog. mas gulang siya. we'll see if his skills are enough to handle Juanma.

Same here...I'll have a 50/50 chance that Gerry could win against JuanMa. Gerry had skills but he is old. JuanMa is young so we will see come fight night...I'm rooting for Gerry to win btw..
