    Try set non-raid to your bios settings.

    guyz, i've been wondering wat kind of problem m having. i recently bought a Mobo which is the MSI G31M3 - L V2. the problem is when after i change the bios settings and save the settings, the SATA HDD's CANNOT be detected.
    < < < < why change bios setting? u must had change the way the harddisk boot priority order.

    for sata < < < check SATA setting...read and digest the instruction

    but if you leave it turned off for a couple of minutes and turn it on again, the HDD's can be detected already.

    < < < < it must be ur mobo's bios feature.. setting itself back to settings that work after failure to boot..good thing

    BUT...if naa cmos batt low ka makitan. ilisi lang ug battery

    i just find it weird and a bit of a hassle for me too. what could be the problem?

    hassle gyud.
    < < < < naa na IDE slot ur mobo? is there an HDD on it? if wala, disable it.

    do not set ur sata hdd to raid function..just plain JBOD or just sata lang or auto

    @butitoy

    i actually tried to OC but then it failed coz my FSB was too high. after rebooting, the SATA HDD's couldnt be detected anymore. but then again, after turning it off for a couple of minutes, it detected my HDD's.

    This also happens when there is power loss. in other words, pag nag brownout then mu balik dayon. di napud dayon ma detect ang sata HDD's.
