Do you agree with the plan to change our system of government? Why?

If our government opt Federalism, then there'll be decentralization of powers, budget, and interests. Each province will be given the discretion to progress, to allocate budget, and to be given freedom to implement ordinances. In simple words: It'll foster self-reliance. No longer Mindanao and other provinces be at the backseat of government's budget allocation, they'll be given all the necessity to look after themselves.

While Parliamentary, I suppose, strengthen political parties. The likes of Gloria, Meriam Defensor Santiago and other balimbing politicos will be descredited, worst ostracized. The shot: it'll foster strong, established, and CONSISTENT political parties to make it to the Council who will rule the whole state.

So there. I hope you can suggest what you think is best for our country should you think we need, bady need to facelift our current system.

The question is not on the political system but on what political system fits best for our country.

There is no exact form/system of government that can raised up our present political system. Changing the face of the goverment is like cutting of leaves of the tree which the main purpose is to cut the tree at all. Why do we compare Philippines to other country? That's because they are more progressive than us? Or we have different types/forms/systems of government?

I do believe that there's nothing wrong with our present governt. It is time for us to adopt something new not because of flaws but for a "change".


And still, a governemnt without the cooperation of the people is weak.

if we want to change our systerm of governement we should see to it that new faces will appear in the upper seat of malacañang so that there will be no misunderstanding again!!!! and we can move on!!!

Changing the system of governance in the Philippines may somewhat help but with the same political culture, I think in the long run, we will go back to square one nga dili gihapon ta moasenso. I just hope kung implement man galing ni sa government nato ang new syste, mas nindot pod tingali og there will be a change in the political culture.
Some of the posts tend to use Singapre as examples. One reason why Singapore continue to develop and prosper is that there is no much politics involve in there system of governance. I just hope we can do the same as how they do it.

the way i see it, thers nothing wrong in the government but on the officials in position.

if we could notice, wa na ni sila gibuhat kundi magsige ug pamulitika para sa mga election. they are more concerned about winning rather than serving and improving the nation.

and aside from that, imrpovements are only focused mainly on cities. the rural areas are often left unattendened which in fact is a very big help to our economy kung madevelop lang.

if i were to choose a government system, i think it would be of singapore or o china, especially the birth control program. mostly, or if not, the problems in our country would root in overpopulation
