all old nikon lenses will fit on their new digicams. only specific functions are not applicable on specific combinations for example, auto exposure functions, autofocus etc. focal lengths will also change by 1.5 on the DX format. For example, an old 28 - 80 mm lens fitted on the new dx format will then be about
35-120mm and will most likely be manual except on the D3, D300 and D90 where most old lenses will be fully functional.
