If I was the potential hacker, there's a very easy way to do this. 100 Million is a lot of money. I simply would have to contact an "insider", a tech who operates/controls those machines, and promise him half the prize money, if he/she helps me in getting into/corrupting the system. I bet that person won't refuse 50 Million Pesos.

Well, this proposal / competition has a point. Even COMELEC dare IT experts / Hackers only to prove that the system is tamper and shaving proof. No problem with that. But as you can see, this will only delay the automation process. Given to a scenario that this system is vulnerable to hacking, what will be our option? Of course, we will revert back to manual voting system where "dag-dag bawas" is a sure ball element in cheating. And its a time constraint not only to COMELEC Officials but also to our teachers the preparation process on going back to manual voting and counting. What we can do for now is to give COMELEC the responsibility in heading up for a clean, peaceful and cheat-free election using this automated electoral system. COMELEC should still allow concerned individuals/groups/politicians to test the system if vulnerable to hacking by public scrutinization of the code from IT Experts / Computer Professionals / Hackers in a given period of time so that any loopholes will be patched immediately and securing it more before its implementation.
