If you read what he stated, he just needs a "minimum" PSU as of now, getting a 700watts would be a utter waste of money if he plans to upgrade the ST50F soon enough.
@Jiro, e PM lang ko bro if sure naka. I'll probably be going to SM this week if mag lisod kag ari sa mambaling area.
^_^ i want it eh...
all 600watts are 2x or 3x more expensive than the 500watts, well except for HEC.
I just dont feel like spending 2-3x more.
HEC zephyr 750 was interesting but it has an annoying blue lights that i cant turn off.
as i said - i need minimum psu now na gyud, later na ko upgrade kay dili available mga psu na ako ganahan.
silverstone st50f has great resell value man sad.
up ta ni nga topic. parehas mi ug situation.
how about for OC models? i mean the non vanilla variants of these cards?
@yugi
With regards sa imong question about maka afford ug gtx 260 pero dli ang power supply. Simple, just want to maximize the ST50F psu and as much as possible choosing a card borderline sa ma deliver sa PSU.
Dli na ko mo invest ug vcard nga manglapas sa requirement gi provide ST50F kay pwerte ka mahal sa kurente ron. Labi na mag sigi ug games. haskang ka paet kung ikaw magbayad.
a PSU will only draw the power needed by your system. it doesn't mean that it is rated 1000 watts then it draw 1000 watts from your wall socket itself. if your system needs 400 watts then your 1000 watts PSU will only get 400 watts from your wall socket. and it will run cooler too because it way below it's rated capacity. if your PSU runs cooler then your capacitors(japanese or china) will last longer.
Im aware of that bro. I agree with you. Running the PSU below its rated values ensures longer PSU life.
Its all about limiting my system below of that 500watts. Maximizing the best parts suited for that power limit. Having great graphics without the burden of monthly veco bills.
Whats the use of having a GTX 295, core I7, 1000watts PSU kung permi naka shut down.
You also have to consider the efficiency, based on the 80plus certification specs, you need to hit 50% of the rated power on the PSU to get the best possible efficiency.. meaning lesser power loss and lesser strain on the PSU in comparison to 20-40% utilization, the correct statement would be "Running the 80Plus PSU on 50% ensures longer PSU life and lesser power loss"
^_^ nakakita na gyud ko supplier
