Seems not to be the BENQ MP512ST... are you sure about the model number, because the BENQ MP512ST is NOT a Full HD projector, and its native resolution is 800x600 with a max of 1280x1024, which would be 720p,not 1080p.
That is shows 1080p is normal, that's the video source resolution, which will be downscaled to the projectors native resolution, my 720p Panasonic does the same... shows input 1080p, but its a 720p projector. Maybe you have a better model, and made a mistake regarding the model number.
