well, its actually what they're doing in the business. Exampple lang ha, PBB. Direk dyogi admitted that they were not sure if filipinos would grab the concept of big brother in the philippines. but then it became a hit show. that goes the same with all the shows. mao bitaw na uban shows sa both networks nga ila nalang humanon kay low ang rating.that's business in the real sense. You put up a restaurant, you're actually taking a risk if customers would rush in or not. thereby, risking also your investment. actually, this has something to do with the business

if i were a producer of encatadia, i would choose a script that would focus on a cast of few characters lang... one, storywise, para hindi malito ang audience and compelling ang plot development along with character development... and second, most importantly, i would save a lot in the budget if i have a cast of few actors kaysa ngayon, diyos ko, in both encatadia and etheria ang dami ng mga actors, at karamihan consider themselves in the A-list! meaning, high talent fees-! No waaay-!

they should really focus lang talaga on one story to develop-- like in encatadia, it's either the love story between a mortal and a fairy or a mortal girl discovering that she is the lost heiress of a fairy kingdom at war-- huwag naman nila pagsabayan...! Gastos lang!

and what wouuld I do with the profits I earned for just using a cast of few characters, mag-iinvest ako in merchandising the franchise-- t-shirts, a scent line, fashion, toys-! Bwahahahah

actually i understand why they made etheria... grabe naman ang gastos nila sa sets and costumes for encatadia, if you look closely most of the props and costumes and sets are recycled from engkatadia... they have to make the sets work out their costs, sayang naman...

for the same reason why GMA say mulawin the movie costs P80 million pesos-- actually they didn't use P80M to make the film but that's the over-all value of all the costumes, props, sets that were used in mulawin the TV series, and Encatadia... reused, rehashed, recycled... but why does it still hurts like trash?

That's good thinking...

Anyway, if i were to be appointed as the producer I'd like to propose the least cast of characters of course, para di mabuang ang audience... Choose skilled art directors instead and directors to boost up those camera angles, lightings and scriptwriters to make the story twist. The budget shall focus on the props and costumes too, AND especially that crappy usage of their special effects... not perfect though, but just am improvement on it will do.
