what is wrong with skype?

nothing at all...pls. dont get me wrong. i just want my parents to call us anytime they like or vice versa without them having so confused from booting the pc, turning on the webcam, etc...

i want it to be more simpler for them, others for sure will say na its more expensive or uban pa na comments but that's wat we wanted for now. isa ra ka dial-lan....then mana daun.

if you want stable and guaranted 3Mbps try Bluemedia here is there number 032 238 7009
its quite expensive but stable jud... but PLDT & Globelines has 3Mbps package and even higher or go for a lease line

huh?? 3Mbps and still pixelated?? what kinda VoIP hardware is that? the CODEC is crappy! 512Kbps for Skype or YM is pretty good! have u even tried Skype or YM? what brand is the VoIP hardware you're planning to buy? also if ur doing VoIP/Video calls try not to download lots of stuff. or don't even download, period.

They both use the VoIP Protocol. Albeit they might differ in their algorithm, codec, encryption.

What I mean is you cannot compare:

A man,
*Pick up the phone and dial the number (Hi mom, how's everybody?)

Or a man,

*Turns On the computer and wait till the computer finish boot up. Double clicking on Yahoo messenger and signing in but he forgot his password. Damn I need to call my ISP, what? Hehehe.
