there is no such thing as best gaming mobo in its specific nga context as motherboard. maybe gaming processor and video card. so long as those cards and procie are supported, then the motherboard becomes the best.

Well ur on the right line, meaning of thread a motherboard that supports the latest add ons , and one that supports clocking to its maximum limits , actually if u think about it... there is a market now that advertises mobo's best suited for gaming, so its in that context u compare between manufacturers

OClocking isnt directly related to gaming sir... gaming is directly related to your processing power of graphics card and processor.

there is a best motherboard that's best for overclocking, but never do i heard of such a motherboard that is best for gaming. what makes it best? northbridge? pcie 2.0? layout? if we say gaming, its purely speed. if a company would say this is the best board for gaming, that is becuase they wanted layering, in marketing it means stratification of buyers. but its all the same actually.

im using a rampage, its a ROG series, but its x38 counterpart was a bit faster at some tests i had read.

ok, here goes, the best motherboard overall is the one that support OC well, and latest technologies in computers like say SLI or CFX, plus the best lay-out and heat dissipation on board. not best gaming board but best motherboard.

I agree with everything you are saying , but I was waiting for the answer you just gave 3rd and last paragraph, which simply answers the question what board fairs the best with gaming and you just gave your answer... well we can finally move on, yes Rampage is a good board..

hehehe, it wasnt my answer sir really, its an example that sometimes we thought "gaming" boards are different from others. taking my board, a ROG series for example from ASUS, the company claimed it to be a gaming board but during tests, X38 and P45 from other companies proved to be better overall in terms of price/performance ratio (looking for that link), with special attention to gaming pa gyud to ha.

to answer the question, but to give special attention to gaming, i would say EVGA classified, aesthetically seductive, overclockingly beautiful, wonderfully supporting SLI and CFX by giving consideration to spacing of pcie slots.

anyways, its always nice to have conversations like this bro...
