1. try reinstalling first before plugging in the printer to your pc.
2. try another type of usb wire.
3. try another usb socket in your pc, be sure to plug it in your back panel not in the front panel

Try malditohon's method.. it seems your not.. if all else fails, try in another PC. Make sure the proper drivers for that printer..

ang akong bag-on pinalit nah hp J4580 nah all in one printer kay hardware not recognized ang error...unsaun mani nako ug solve thanx

try to look for new driver sa ilang site.
try to reinstall your OS.
(I have an experience that I can't install any Plug and Play electronic even USB Thumb Drive but resolved after a fresh OS install)

before re-installing your OS, try to check, sa lain nga PC if you have one, if ma-recognize ba siya didto..

if none of the methods suggested by any Istoryans, adtoa ang store imu gipalitan.. didto ipasuway if ok ba imung printer or dili..

k nah! thanx sa advice ninyong tanan! akong gi-patan-aw sa HP sa ayala akong printer nya ala paman daw ani nah model sa phils kay J4580 man ang amu so ilang gi-test ang printer and they found out nahang cable ang naay defect so mao to akonalang gipalitan ug wireless nah connector para ala nay hastle onthe wires and things so now k nah................thanx istoryans! Mods Pls. ko close nah ani thanx

try lang una e unstall kong na install na ang driver basin sayop lang pag install.but if na install na e reinstall lang ..heheh \
