Is it compatible with any mobile phone?

no changes to your current handyphone...use as is...you dial as is...you take calls as is...no other settings needed...no modifications...no opening anything...just register and thats it...

wala lage ni gipa commecrial sa tv?

testing pa gani sila sa manila starting pag sunday. april 15 pa ta diri cebu. other cities, unknown if ma naa bah sila ani na service. globe is very hesitant. maybe they can't make it work well. they are taking it slow for now.

note: pldt+ had LOTS of problems and issues in its first few months. until now its not perfect.

no one in cebu has experience this service yet coz april 15 paman ni siya available diri.

issues i have with it based on the answered from globe personnel:
1) can't select the number (its auto generated)
2) higher cost (than sun unlimited call & text 350 or pldt+ 300)
3) no 1-800 access (no toll free access to creditcard company,samsung hotline, etc.)
4) ad is misleading saying that only calls outside the area code 02 or 032 will be charged NDD rates while in truth you can only get free calls from the same area code. meaning if your using 02, you can't make free calls to 032 (unlike real globe landlines)
5) this is a PROMO only. what if i decide to get it and abandon my nice number pldt+. after 3 months they decide to end the promo and terminate my DUO. have to change numbers again.
6) to dial out you need to include the area code. unlike pldt+ just the 7 digit number thats it.

i get very poor signal sa globe in my room. while pldt+ give me full bars. but i think for most of cebu globe signal is good.

Sa ako wala kaayo ko problema sa globe signal. Mark I also have PLDT prepaid. Ang problema sa PLDT kay mu charge man sila if you are the one calling sa landline. Kani free man. Plud you will not need a dual sim phone. Ang 1800 dili mansad pwede sa PLDT diba landline plus diba? And PLDT landline plus doesnt allow to and from Cebu Manila sad diba?

Anywas, I think its more beneficial for Globe post paid users. Its basically like having PLDT but unlimited na and one SIM nalang. I will try it out and let my staff in the office use my PLDT sa. Will let you know nya kung ok ba or dili. They said they will just activate the number to my SIM. I think they are just using a VOIP protocol and forwarding the calls to our numbers. Anyway it sounds good.

yes wala sad access ang pldt+ and globelines to 1800 numbers (sad to say) only real pldt landlines have access to those hotlines. if only they would add it sa DUO, it would be worth the extra 100pesos for me.

yes you need either a dual sim or another phone. pros and cons gyapon i guess. having two phones means in case of battery failure on one phone, you got another which i prefer. sometimes bulky lang gyud bringing 2 phones and times like those i wish Smart did it the way DUO is going to be.

pldt+ does allow but naa na bayad kung other cities same with DUO. my issue is that sa ADS nila they make it sound like pwedi NCR and CEBU. well thats how i understood it from the ads and upon clarifying di pala. btw, just to point out if you were to call other cities sa DUO you'd have to be 3500 plan to 10,000 plan to get lower rates than PLDT+. 3500+399=3899 minimum monthly to get the same NDD rates as PLDT+ with 300 minimum monthly. another advantage sa pldt+, if this month you plan to be out of town, you can just skip a month service and resume the month after. and you can pick your number with pldt+

on the unlimited part. i can't even finish my 300pesos 150mins free calls sa pldt+ coz 90% its people calling me from their landlines. my staff and affiliates and clients call me from the office landline to my PLDT+. ako man gud ang pagitaon hehe maayo lang na unlimited for those who go over 150mins of outgoing calls a month, katong daghan ginapagita. hehe besides we all (mostly) have SUN cell naman pud ry.

On a needs basis, if the signal is good, I think this is perfect for me. I will still have two phones pero sun nalang ang usa. Ako mahurut nako akong PLDT, kay most of the time office akong ka tawgan or people i know sa house, I just hope they dont have that 10 minutes nga ma putol. Hehehehe.

apparently not as of the moment unless you mean roaming...

they give you 2 numbers in one sim: one landline and one mobile number (0917-xxx-xxxx)
and the unlimited calls are limited to landline to landline, Cebu landline to your phone and your phone to landline only within Cebu

so far no official word on the cutoff time like that of pldt+ set at 10mins. my friends in manila have tried going over 10mins without getting cut.

btw, i got a call today...pwedi na pumili last four digits but must be thru the business center not thru text or calling hotline. 215 ang prefix sa manila. no word yet on the prefix here in cebu.

and so far pldt+ users cant connect to DUO...3 beeps lang when dialed and thats it.

regular pldt landline works fine though...
will keep testing the pldt+ interconection with DUO...post lang ko here in naay developments.
