Default Citom is the 5th Archangel of the Apocalypse

    My car got towed today.

My Office is located in La Guardia, Lahug. a Residential area. i went there at 1Am.

After doing my business in my office (doing some late backlog work), i went out to find my car was not there anymore. I was SHOCKED! i thought my car was stolen. Carnap mga frends. na shock dyud ko.
I cried and went in shock. it was 30 minutes before a tanod came by and to my relief, told me that my car was impounded by citom.

    * number 1: I parked on a Grassy area NOT ON THE ROAD, on a ROAD that HAD NO SIGNS that it was a towing zone, on a street that i have been parking on FOR 2 YEARS now. 2 YEARS!!! (i know, as i was told by the bi*chy Citom lady at the citom office that the law has been going on for a decade at least - thus....GRABE ang implementation ani diay)

*number 2: WHERE IN THE WORLD WAS THE NOTICE LEFT FOR THE OWNER OF THE DRIVER!!!? AND WHERE WAS AMPLE WARNING!!!? i Thought my car was stolen. A car that i am still paying for. a product of my hardwork and everyday plunge into a world that i would not want to stay in yet i do to place food on the table and gas in my car and there i was in shock and uncomfort due to the fact that i THOUGHT my car was stolen

    * number 3: the tanod was told by the citom tow iron man that i should go to citom asap, lest my car reach 8 AM where mumahal ang akong bayad. I rode a cab. @ 4:30 am. Lo and behold. Nangatulog silang tanan sa taas sa ilang mga table. ang ubang "CITOM officers" gahukas...ug ang ilang kamot...naa sa sulod sa ilang pants. mga walay kauwaw. tsktsk. this is our system and taxes working for us people. --going back...so i went there...and i was told...NA PATAKA LANG DAW KO. tsk. misinformation. i had to wait till 8 AM. so i waited.

    * number 4: by 7:55...naa nako sa towing office. the kind bi*chy lady explained that i should get something signed...then go to the impound to get the Registration and OR (which is in the car--sa impound lot kay ila namang giimpound--sa NORTH RECLA!!) --this made me spend waaaay more. plus. super the hasle. and waste of time. So inefficient this system that allows our Paid officers to sleep half naked while on duty. tsk tsk.

    * number 5: worst news. i paid Php 2,100. ouch. because the 1,800 was for towing, 300 for the fee. which made me think. WE ARE GETTING TOWED>....SO THESE CONTRACTORS GET MONEY. i heard they towed 7 cars in my street alone. imagine the money these sub contractors are getting. tsk tsk. the city should not let these contractors benefit and use the power given to them as subcontractors so they can continue their vested interest: being subcontracted....if they dont tow...they dont get money. tsk tsk tsk. thats not public service. thats private capitalistic interest.

--i was parked in a grassy knoll. NOT ON THE ROAD. they (THE PRIVATE SUBCONTRACTOR TOWED MY CAR...SO THEY CAN MILK ME...AND CAUSE ME DISCOMFORT...BY NOT EVEN LEAVING A NOTICE THAT THEY TOOK MY CAR!!!)

--i know they towed the car...city ordinance blah blah blah nightparking daw. but if you think about it. i wasnt on the road. (i had pics) i was not even sleeping.l was working. they did not even try to knock on the gate that the car was right beside on. to inform the stupid driver (me) that her car is being taken. they should have at least done that. to save us all from this trouble. they treated me like i was breaking a law. in my interpretation of their city ordinance, i was not. REsidential area, No signage of towing zone, not even parked on the road!!!!

--i plan to write a letter to the LEgal department. as i was told by the bi*chy lady "imo nang katungod" ako dyud ni ipadayun.

to me...the CITOM should be charged with CARNAPPING.

If this has happened to you. please dont let this abuse of power and lack of INEFFICIENCY linger any more.

--Place signs. inform people the right way. Stand up for our rights.

--PLEASE REPOST THIS AS YOU SEE FIT.

Hala ma'am, I really feel for you. Grabe na gud ana nila? As you said, you weren't parking ON the road, and there weren't any signs. Wala pud ka ni-explain nila nga inefficient jud sila sa pagbutang ug signs and sa pag-implement sa balaod? My father did that to a CITOM; ni U-turn siya, then a CITOM made us halt to the side of the road and explained that this was a "no U-turn" area.. gibaosan pud sa akong dad, "Bai.. tanawa ra gud na imong surroundings, naa ba diay sign diha nga "no U-turn"? If naa pa unta'y sign, dili jud ko mo U-turn." Then the CITOM let us go, without bothering to say anything further.

Tsk, padayona jud na ma'am, take proper legal action jud.

amu dapita kay pirmi agian ug towing truck ug citom.... na tow pud amung delivery truck pag noon ky nikaon cya kadyut.... naabot citom, ni announce sa plate number sa amu truck, everyone sulod sa building nanaug as fast as we can, pero pag gawas namu, gi chain na ang truck! wala na diay allowance, dakup diay diritso..... our own truck was towed in front of our hardware, though there's a sign of no parking. Strict kaau sila, we thought that they are really doing their job efficiently... later, we found out from the cashier sa contracting company na daku diay percent ning mga citom... it was very unfair on our part cause we own the driveway, the delivery truck was parked for a legitimate reason, and there was cargo on it.... allowed diay mi loading and unloading, and WTF just happened to our truck The new "fining scheme" and increaed activity of towing services may try to discipline the motorists... but unfortunately, it very prone for abuse since commision basis man diay sad para sa citom....
