- a manifestation of our decrepit way of thinking.
But we should not stop with mere bible fanatics, they are merely a species of larger whole: non-reason, that resides in this thread. the close cousins to the bible fanatics are the Mystics bordering solipsism, and the extreme atheists. so i think its unfair to merely narrow down the condemnation to bible fanatics ( although not explicitly mentioned it is implied in this post) but it must also include solipsist-mystics and the extreme atheists. They are strange bedfellows, no matter how strange they are still bedfellows, and to top it all they are of the same family- they share the same blood.
cheers!
unsa ni nga klase nga bible?! kay naa mang ko nabasahan nga * * * bible gud sa previous nko gitrabahohan... LOL
ahh...ok..hehe wa na ta mabuhat kng nkigbungkag cla..ila mana pgtuo...hehe and it's difficult, nonsensical even, if u think ur interpretations are the "right" interpretations, out of..maybe hundreds(if not, thousands) of different interpretations deviating from urs...mao ni nabungkagan sa protestantism.. naay agelicans, naay calvinist, lutherian etc.. because of private interpretations.
The Bible has been in multiple revisions - this is a fact.
Our church fathers revised some of the contents of the bible.
Some would say that it is already not a reliable source of spirituality but it is still.
There are actually books of great wisdom and spirituality aside from the bible.
Here is another fact - the doctrine of Reincarnation is included in the bible and was a strong belief among early Christians. It was during the reign of emperor Justinian in the 6th century that he ordered that all of the major passages in the Bible that espoused a belief in reincarnation to be removed!
Another fact - it is not Jesus who compiled, assemble and put together for the making of the Bible, not even his disciples, but the church fathers. Now, another fact, there are a lot of christian texts that they did not include. How about the Gospel of Thomas? The Gospel of Phillip? The Gospel of Judas? These are disciples of Christ. The Gospel of Mary Magdalene? The Dead See Scrolls? All of these were confirmed authentic! There are even a lot of books hid by the Vatican and are not to be published.
A mind that is close, nothing will be learned. Keep an open mind. There also exists secret teachings of Jesus.

The book "On Christianity, New Age and Reincarnation" by Jaime Licauco is a good exposition of Christianity specially its history. And you can also find a lot of interesting topic within this book. Just keep an open mind.
