sir the doctrine of the roman catholic church is from the bible; what we did was to simplify the teachings of the bible into doctrines that are more acceptable to the mass numbers BUT OF COURSE WITH THE HELP OF THE OUR GOD WITH THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, the bible is very hard to understand and very very deep. in every verse there is something hidden, no matter how simple that verse is, especially on the part that focus on Jesus. look at what's happening to you, you are directly using the verses of the bible without even knowing what are the deeper reasons and meanings of those verses you just posted.
let me ask you, would we last this long if our doctrine is not supported by God?
how many wars have our church gone through? how bout your church how many wars did it survived? how many "national" and "tribal" wars? how many scandals did our church healed over the time? because human errs and God wills it for them to err but He accepts them back to Him as long as they present repenting hearts, and some of those people are part of the ones who made our doctrines. even our saints, they used to be sinners. and that gives you your point in questioning our doctrine; but look at us now, we are strong as the they Jesus left for heaven. we are stable and as firm as the day he said to Paul(or peter lol i forgot) that he will be the rock in which Jesus will establish His eternal church. sure our church and doctrines present a lot of questionable statements; FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T GIVE TIME TO UNDERSTAND, but if you will understand and contemplate deeply those doctrines can be traced back to the bible with the same essence of teachings.
*im not cfd, nor an ex-seminarian, im just an ordinary catholic with deep faith; im not even well versed in all the information i need to know to parry your attacks, this is the content of my heart and of my will*
im not against anang go directly to God noh, but i think we always miss what really God said..

Philippians 2:12- "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
and James chapter 2 also said...
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
and.....
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

if you have faith in the Lord and you are trully a changed person, mufollow nmn na ang good works. it would spring out of you oh so naturally.but i think what amingb meant is that by works alone dili jd ka masave.. yes, that faith not accompanied by actions is dead, BUT if puro raka action and not trully have a relationship with the Lord then it's all worthless. belief ni sa christians ha, im not sure with the muslims though. im not very familiar with your teachings. but i appreciate that you're able to quote from a bible considering that you're muslim. that goes to show you aspire wisdom.
not closeminded like (sadly) fellow christians are.
I would rather live my catholic faith through the love of neighbor and give a helping hand to those who are in need, as Jesus did .. imperfect as I am, I am proud to be a catholic .. and i believe I am doing my best to show it in my works ...instead of shouting it with the best of my arguments.
