how to connect laptop to desktop in order to play via LAN

Guys i need help from u and from the experts here...i want to play NBA,STARCRAFT,COD and etc with my bro via LAN but the my prob is I dont hav any idea on this, I dont know how to set up a network connection but we already have a share folder, i can only send files to his computer but we cant play on LAN connection..pls post ur suggestions here..thanks guys!

sa ako tan-aw naa naman mo connection to each other cguro need lang e configure ang usa ka computer as server then join nalang ang usa. then go na.

are u using a hub? or try to do peer2peer connection that will help..

if okay na inyung connections, then it's good to go. ang usa ka comp kay maghost sa game then ang usa kay mu join then go go go!!!
