what's wrong about that (local doctors becoming nurses)? unsay "nurse nlng"?...pls do not insult the nursing profession bai...both professions (nursing and doctor) are "equally" honorable and dignified careers. even though the nurse is below the rank of a doctor, doesn't mean mas ubos atong panglantaw nila kung doctor ka. a doctor becoming a nurse abroad is just a matter of personal choice and an answer to the obvious demand for nurses abroad. There is nothing to be embarrassing about that decision.
Perhaps wa gyud diay nkapasar sa board exam sa States to the nth time & just finally decided to pursue nursing which is the easier one. I've heard a lot of doctors that they say one easier way to work in US as a doctor is to first work there as a nurse and then continue studying there and then finally become a doctor there.
u cannot even blame a licensed engineer like me finally deciding to go on a business not even related to my profession. It's because at some point in our lives, some will awaken to realize that the profession you have sweated for years in college might not be the career you actually want later on...your priorities change also.Last edited by giddyboy; 03-31-2009 at 10:20 AM.
