She is a pure Cebuana. She works in the private sector. But most of the people here rides on the idea that she was public servant in Ormoc and making lots of kurakot. Correct me if I'm wrong.

There was a lot of talk about the kurakot when the CICC was built...it was the province who took care of constructing the CICC and it was done in a rush to finish it in time for that ASEAN event. To disspell the rumors about kurakot the province has now opened the books to the public, and many have scrutinized it...and nothing substantial came out of their scrutiny of it...in other words it must have been rumors lang.

About the SRP-Filinvest deal, it was finalized just recenctly, so I hope in the near future the deal/agreement will also be open to public scrutiny so the we can be sure it was at least just a fair deal for us tax payers, and also to know we were not put at the losing end of the deal...once the agreement will be made public, that is when we can really judge if we got the upper hand....the question is will it ever be made public and when? If there really is nothing wrong with the agreement I am sure Pablo John will have nothing to say!!!

kabahin sa away...it's not only Tomas. It's the whole City Council, the BOPK, and even the VM who all are under the some-sort of dictatorial and arrogant rule of "The General", are against Gwen and the Cebu Province. don't say dili patas ang laban...and to think babaye ang kaaway ni Tomas.
gibabagan, "siguro" because they can. it is not the same case with SRP

ang nag-away office of the cebu city mayor and cebu province governor. let's not raise the gender issue because it is totally besides the point

but have you thought about the bigger investment of the multimillion other than the SRP.

    Point from me to you:

    1. Conceited ra kaayo approach nimo when you said dako na na investment sa cebu city. Given na investment na, pero in the long run ang mga insik ra gihapon na kwartahan ang maka benifit ana. Igo ra ka pag amaze sa structures made by them pero maka.insulto sa orinaryong cebuano ug mga kabos na cebuano kay dili kasulod kay way sapatos o senina ikapalit para lang makasulod anang mga estrakturaha.

    2. Don't you think "BASIC" infrastructures should be more kept closer in the eyes of the LGU rather than concentrating on something that can only benifit a few? I mean mas maayo pa man ug gi.invest na ang money na gi.loan in to more profitable investments as a win-win solution sa city ug sa katilingban sa sugbo, ergo a complete and bigger HOSPITAL FACILITY. And how about helping acquisition of modern equipments for FIREFIGHTING?

you are looking at just one tree not the entire forest, PERIOD!

Councilors have questions on legality of measure
    Saturday, March 28, 2009

SOME Cebu City councilors have questions on the legality of a proposed ordinance limiting the use of government-owned land in the Banilad-Talamban corridor but Mayor Tomas Osmeņa told them not to shy away from approving it.

Osmeņa said he did not ask the City Council to approve it before he gets back to the US for his operation and they also did not commit to approve it soon. Osmeņa left for the US yesterday.

    hikhikhik. plain logical chismis...

Let's also distinguish between personal and political issues to procedural issues. Even if this has political and personal color involved, its also just that Rep PJ (and other concerned peeps) wanted more public transparency in the FLI deal, noting he helped a lot in realizing the SRP. and coz Tomas don't want it in public scrutiny, mao gusto ipaabot sa Congress...mao nay plain logic bro.

asa ang logic diha? wa ko makakita.

kung di pa na si tomas, wa man unta na'ay issue.

scrutiny? as a congressman? as a taxpayer? yeah, right! spare me the ethics and morals because in this "epic battle" we are way beyond that.

mura man sad kadtong pag buhat sa cebu business park, dako kaayo ug baba si tingting.

if you are going to ask me, PJ is just bullying Tommy Boy and it is not good for Cebu in general. Tommy might roll with the punches regardless if the Garcias are more powerful now, that's if he will still live to see the SRP full developed.

on another note, kinsa ang mga original landowners sa Lahug Airport nga nabalik ang yuta since it seems that you really know about this issue in detail. kindly, indulge me...

IT park has benefited Cebu a lot already in general. Waterfront hotel too. No doubt about that.

di nlng ta mag sour-graping ana...kita ra cguro dre ang nihisgot ug balik ana. even the orig landowners wala na gahisgot cguro ana...LOLs

    let's move forward...
