Does saying a PROMISE a sin?

but, make sure that in making a promise... you should be able to fulfill it.

one of the parish priest told me that saying a PROMISE is a sin...

until then i never say promise to the people i talk to...
because maybe i can't do the favor they want and i make them disappoint...

promises are made to be broken....and for me dili na sya sala ang mo promise naa rana sa tawo if naa syay word of honor na buhaton nya iyang gi promise sa tawo..
