but have you thought about the bigger investment of the multimillion other than the SRP.

    Point from me to you:

    1. Conceited ra kaayo approach nimo when you said dako na na investment sa cebu city. Given na investment na, pero in the long run ang mga insik ra gihapon na kwartahan ang maka benifit ana. Igo ra ka pag amaze sa structures made by them pero maka.insulto sa orinaryong cebuano ug mga kabos na cebuano kay dili kasulod kay way sapatos o senina ikapalit para lang makasulod anang mga estrakturaha.

    2. Don't you think "BASIC" infrastructures should be more kept closer in the eyes of the LGU rather than concentrating on something that can only benifit a few? I mean mas maayo pa man ug gi.invest na ang money na gi.loan in to more profitable investments as a win-win solution sa city ug sa katilingban sa sugbo, ergo a complete and bigger HOSPITAL FACILITY. And how about helping acquisition of modern equipments for FIREFIGHTING?

What is Congress' jurisdiction over SRP? I am not a lawyer but I think there is none. This was a project wholly-conceived by the LGU.

For me, ang mo babag anything about SRP is Anti-Cebu. Don't you agree people?! And Pablo John of all people or any Garcia for that matter are not in the position to initiate it because it is politically motivated.

dili maoy rason nga gibabagan nila ang Ciudad project ky mahimong white elephant (Besides, the CICC is not a white elephant). Ang ilang pasangil, di na kuno kinanglan mapun-an ug dev't ang Ban-Tal ky it would add more traffic woes kno...TELL IT TO THE MARINES!!! maygani naalimungawan ang mga City Councilors ug gi re-consider to re-study ang proposed ordinance limiting the dev't of Ban-Tal. LOLs

otherwise, they are risking their future careers as lawyers and political leaders. Rep. PJ said the proposed ordinance is against the law.

maybe they don't want the province to get credit for any development within the City of Cebu. Let's remember the Cebu Province is getting credit from the dev't of the Asiatown IT Park and is now planning to develop the Camp Lapu2x to a National Park.

if Tomas has nothing to hide from the FLI deal, there is no reason he won't show the contract to the public.

what's wrong about that? u mean abi ky gikan ug laing lugar? well, Gwen is a Garcia, a Cebuano, bsan asa pa nimo ibutang sa mapa, Cebuano pa gihapon na.

Pareho ra gud na sa ubang politico nga actually tua sa States gapuyo pero niuli to run for office and serve the people.

Btw, c Gwen naminyo cya ug Codilla nga taga Ormoc. During the Ormoc tragedy, Gwen was named "The Voice of Ormoc". There was also a time when the relationship of the couple turned sour. mao ga buwag.

But when his father Pablo (then the cebu guv) asked for her help in running the affairs of the Cebu Province, she obliged. That's when she started her political career in Cebu. In the governatorial race (if im not mistaken, that was 2004), she defeated the powerful Martinez in the elections.

She was first elected in 2004 and re-elected in 2007. She is Cebu's first woman governor. Garcia won by 7,000 votes in Philippine general election, 2004 and a historic half a million in Philippine general election, 2007.

nya karon raka mo discriminate ug mo reklamo nga cya taga Ormoc nga ika duha naman gani ni cya nka daug sa eleksyon? kataw-anan...LOLs

Among the many prominent cases he successfully advocated is the petition against the preliminary injunction issued by a Cebu trial court to stop the implementation of the South Reclamation Project (SRP). Pablo John successfully pleaded before the Supreme Court the illegality of the preliminary injunction, leading to its lifting. If not for this, the SRP would have been delayed by at least 5 years, if not altogether scrapped.

other prominent cases he successfully advocated:

    1. The petition to declare illegal the controversial clamping ordinance of the City of Cebu. The regional trial court of Cebu declared the ordinance illegal, a decision upheld by the Supreme Court, to the relief of motorists in Cebu City.

    2. The petition to stop the closure of the first Mactan-Mandaue Bridge. The closure would have greatly inconvenienced millions of users of the first bridge, and was preparatory to the imposition of a toll at the second bridge. Pablo John successfully secured a writ of preliminary injunction against the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to stop the closure. The DPWH eventually abandoned the plan.

Pablo John also acted as Gov. Gwen’s chief legal counsel during the canvassing of votes at the Capitol social hall, and was responsible for defeating all legal maneuvers from the other side to delay Gov. Gwen’s proclamation.

well, bahin sa House bills authored and co-authored, depende man gud asa ka nga committee na belong pud sa Congress. and what u can do to your constituents in ur district as a Congressman is also thru ur pork barrel funds.

and well, the lot where the Ciudad project is intended is Province-owned, so meaning, naa ra gihapon sa tugkaran sa Province. I know that what u meant is more projects sa probinsya, but if we look closer, there have been efforts also to that matter.

if we mention OTOP and One-Visayas, it is giving strength to what a certain province/town can offer to the world. (the Father of OTOP is a Japanese national, btw). There also programs to uplift the MSME's and we already know very well daghan MSMEs located sa towns like in Lacion, Liloan, and as far as Car-Car.

if we mention real estate, there are already companies developing housing units in the towns that are at par to those in the cities. We have the Deca Homes, etc. One certain Engr Soberano is also investing into developing real estate in the countrysides.

The beach resorts in towns are also experiencing a boom. Tourism in towns is also being given a boost.

The goal is the same: Provide income and livelihood to towns so that people in those towns don't have to go to the cities anymore to earn a living. But let us put it this way: Cities and Provinces are always inter-connected. You cannot have veggies (and fruits) into cities without them coming from the provinces. You cannot have meat, poultry, and fish into cities w/o them coming from the towns. You cannot have handicrafts into cities w/o them coming from the towns. You cannot have native delicacies into cities w/o them coming from the towns...
