The Watchmen

at first, i thought the movie sucked. it was long, and the narration kinda got boring. but that was only because it wasn't what i expected... i guess i was looking forward to seeing lots of action and superb effects... maybe something like Iron Man, X-men, etc.. great effects, yup. thumbs up kaayo. but what really impressed me is the following:

- the much more "realistic" ending compared to the one on the comic. di xa far-fetched, infairness.
- how they didn't make a lot of changes to the story after changing medium (from the comic to the movie)
- how they told the story bout heroes having real, screwed up lives just like any of us
- how they cleverly created Rorschach's character
- the movie wasn't for adolescents, neither was it for kids... but truly stimulating.

i just don't like the Ozymandias guy on the movie... i dunno... the actor just didn't seem right for the role, imo.

ROARSCHAC is actually one of the greates comic book characters..

i watch it sa ayala on stage...
i'm sorry but i find it boring...
the pacing was so tagal...
as in...
but the production and the fight scenes, that was awesome...

Kung gi-include nila ang every major scene from the graphic novels, the movie would have lasted about 10 hours. So para nako, pas-pas gani ang pacing, kay gusto nila ma-fit ang movie into less than 3 hours, but I guess one can only compare if one has read the graphic novels.
