as i said, sometimes it worked. when it worked, its usually that the fever goes away in a couple of hours. i'm not fond of paracetamols. not then and not now. when it didn't work, then its hilot for us kids, which i hate even more...hehehe. or we're forced by my mother to drink aspirin/paracetamol. but these illnesses can be cured by our bodies itself, given time.

not sure if what he's doing is pranic healing but the gestures are the same. i've never asked what he's doing. the family just take it all in faith. maybe faith healing?

@miyay, yes hilot, i myself know it can help the body heal cause i know how to do it and even comforting massage, did your lolo also use a basin with dissolved salt on it?

@hellblazer, yes thats true bro, proven scientificaly and on other fields(like pranic healing) but there is so much for a human body to heal, and limited ability to do so. we can heal ourselves but not to the extent that we can heal cancers and other ailments, because a nurtured and growing organism heals itself as a part of its growing.

@handsoff241, first we must agree that our physical bodies have some energies within and outside.
if you are a fan on kung fu movies then this will explain like Tai Chi.

second, energy can affect one's emotion or the other way around in consequence one's health will be compromised.

It is said that if one is ill there is an over or under supply of energy within an area... to resolve that a pranic healer will either supplement or deduct the energy within that affected area...

When they heal, they usually use their hands in influencing the etheric double where much energy is stored there. Well, it looked weird to me too at first but I understood later. It is just a simple procedure. You can even heal it in distance through visualization by giving your total focus and concentration to the person that needs healing.

About the parameters, you may consult the book "The Principles in Pranic Healing" because I have not memorized everything there.

yes they usually used their hands especially for beginner and intermediate lvl but for those advance pranic healing they will used everything material and immaterial like the eyes, fingers, physical body parts, air, water and etc. and etc., and to those extreme pranic healers used died bodies which was prohibited coz it basically contradict the laws on physics and the social norms.
