    Default Re: Scoliosis

Before anything else you should visit any of the mentioned physiatrist and have urself assessed. They will usually recommend xrays so they can measure the severity of the curvature, and come up with a management. Once you have the management you can opt to have your therapy in PT rehabs or outside. Im a PT and I have 2 scoliotic patients visiting me twice a week in our spa. These patients suffer severe back pains that is why aside from the usual management using ES,exercise programs, and manipulative techniques i also use ventosa (to target MPS or panuhot), and they told me dako kuno kaayo ug tabang na dili na kaayo mo sakit ilang likod.

    EARLY DETECTION OF SCOLIOSIS
Parents should watch for the following warning signs of scoliosis when their child is about 8 years of age:

    Uneven shoulders
Prominent shoulder blade or shoulder blades
    Uneven waist
    Elevated hips
    Leaning to one side

Any one of these signs warrants an examination by the family physician, a pediatrician, or an orthopaedist.

bro how sure are you that you really have scoliosis? coz if you say na nadiagnose ka through x-ray then ang doctor na ni-diagnose nimo ni recommend na ug some treatment or exercise of some sort. just to rule out anything, (kay basin dili tungod sa scolio and nag cause sa sakit) adto nalang ug physiatrist with your latest x-ray. chong hua, cebu doctors and perpetual succour have excellent rehab clinics to help you.

lisod man gud if mag-assume ta. pain can be caused and triggered by a lot of factors. pwede reffered pain na sya or chronic or acute. plus ang scolio cannot be cured by consciously correcting your posture.

    hope this helps.

    Question scoliosis

who among d member are scoliotic? ug unsa inyo gbuhat

  5. #55
You have to see a specialist, before I went to an orthopedic. gi x-ray man ang likod to see how many degrees. after some time nakavisit pud ko sa usa ka specialist sa perpetual nakalimot ko unsa nga specialist basta kanang moassist gani niya ang mga physical therapist. they will advise you on what exercise routine to take to avoid back pain.

MrRendezvous i dont think u can have slip disk because its a different problem slipped disk results from a person’s habit of giving high pressure on the intervertebral disk. Many people face the slipped disk problem because of their habit of bending forward from their spinal cord, when it is not necessary to do so. whereas scoliosis is a curvature due to improper posture.

    Hi Gwyn,

ka-relate ko ani.. naa sad ko thoraco-lumbar scoliosis. morag letter S akong likod inig tan-aw sa x-ray. ni-curve ang upper back to the right (thoracic dextro-scoliosis: 26 degrees), then sa ubos kay to the left 29 degrees.

paeta. sakit kaayo kung mag-lingkod walay sandiganan. nag gym ko ron peru ambot morag di na man jud ni ma-ulian. musta imong condition?

have you heard of any other treatments other than surgery. hadlok man na ang surgery gud kay butangan screws/metal imong spine. yay!
