As far as I know, there has already been a lot of raids. Although its seldom they raid households/personal users as it is quite uneconomical. I for one know, that in the 90's TTI was raided for selling pirated games. And I read in the news that a CAD designs/rendering firm in CBP was recently raided for using pirated Autodesk software. Raids are most by the
PAPT with the help of
BSA.
Before, there was an amnesty on pirated sftware use by businesses. Even if they were caught using pirated software, they were given a chance to buy officially licensed one. I don't know there process now.
I for a fact know, that a lot of government offices are using licensed software, in fact the government of Cebu just recently heard an ordinance to appropriate about 3m to procure anti-virus software. If there are indeed government offices using pirated software, and you have personal knowledge of such, you can file a report to BSA. You can even get a hefty reward(5-7 figs) for a confirmed report/successful raid.
