thanks for the replies. i have both installers and it would be confusing to my niece if there are two sets of
office programs installed. which has better templates, powerpoint or impress? which is the better word processor in terms of ease of usage MS word or writer? i'm curious of OO's math program, it will be helpful for her math subjects. MS office doesn't have anything like OO's math.

In terms of lightness, performance and compatibility, OpenOffice is much better option to MS Office. In terms of usage, we find it awkward since we dont get used to it. By exploring on this Office suite, familiarity will be step by step learned.

Actually, ang M$ Office is too much expensive and majority of the people are using pirated ones. Mao na naay dili ganahan sa M$ Office.

if maka.afford palit license sa MS Office, then why not. But my first choice is still OpenOffice.
