Buy new... Lisod kaayo if after a few months, madaot dayon... It's better to be protected by at least a 1 year warranty para dili masayang imong kwarta...

benQ 1625 Lightscribe is actually a rebadge of HP DVDRW lightscribe and is a year older than benq1640..1625 is a better buy if yu are into direct media printing and don't want to spend extra moolah on HP DVD writers.

Kapoy kaayo magkeep up which writers are rebadged... To make a better decision when buying a certain writer, google first for forums which actively discuss that particular writer and check to see if it's rebadged. Like tolstoi said, you can save money from this doing some detective work... Also some writers can be reflashed to another brand or to a next higher model to have some extra capabilities but I don't recommend this to newbies...

question, ang detect sa actual blanck dvds is 4.4gb something ra lagi, sakto na? dili day na 4.7gb exact like the 700mb cds

so what media and format (-R, +R) works best on 1640, especailly for backing up .avi files and making movie files? has anyone tried different brands and formats, hot did it go?
