    What ifs:

    1. China will invade spratlys and the Philippine mainland
    2. US will remain silent and let her poor unfortunate Filipino friend turn into "RED"
    3. Government officials will submit to the communist
    4. politicians/actors/richness people will evacuate to "Steyts" and leave their poor and defenseless brethren turn into "RED"
    5. China will see us pest and the 2nd Holocaust is eminent.

These are just what ifs and I think its 40 percent possible...

Troops garrisoned in some islets... I think I consider our troops as "sitting ducks"
    Can they sustained heavy fighting?
Can our navy save them if the situation escalates into critical stage?

hopefully mayta lang gyud nga our history books will not write a line for them like:

"the PA head quarters contacted them but they where never heard again"

^^ and definitely if that happens, grabe ang sanction na ihatag sa UN against china coz the baselines bill is already all up to the UN to decide whether to recognize philippine jurisdiction over these islands according to the standards imposed by UNCLOS following its final deliberation on the matter.

    1. invade some of our spratlys islands? maybe. philippines? will not happen.
    2. the us will do nothing if china takes some of our spratlys islands especially the uninhabited one. remember mischief reef?
    3. if they take some of those islands, the best our politicians can do is make some noise.
    4. i got nothing to say on this.
    5. hmm. . . too farfetched.

US do nothing?, i doubt they are tied to it, they are obliged, philippines is always a strategic location for the US, i doubt that they will just let fall into other's hand... and if ever attacked philippines will not be first attack of obvious reason.... no us installation here...

china can't invade philippines, simply... they will face the whole world if they do it...

in my hunch, if China invades the Philippines maybe China would make NorKor their allies because China know they can't do this alone.

nokor is already their ally since the korean war..., like again i said... china is not that stupid to invade another country or they'll face the other nation as well.... wa gani nila ma invade ang taiwan nga dugay na sige bahad... ug duol pa.... siguro naval confrontation possibly but a full front war?, i doubt.... what's the reason to invade the philippines if they only want the KIG?, remember china already invaded the world with their cheap product....

What the Philippines did was right. It asserted its claim on the disputed islands in accordance with the UNCLOS requirements. That was the most diplomatic thing to do as a member of the community of nations.

Ultimately, it will be the UN who will decide who has sovereignty over the disputed islands. At least the Philippines recognizes and respects the authority of the international tribunal to resolve the dispute.
