is that what you are doing manhattan? when you study arnis and ninjitsu and jujutsu and everything else?

being out of focus is applying what you know in a bad way

the application of various martial arts im doing helps me a lot in everythig!
is that out of focus to you?

and the appreciation of other martial atrs is also out of focus to you? so why apply arnis why not just stick to ninjutsu?

and by the way im not jumping from 1 to the other, om practicing it all, not at the same time thou
You show the signs of being out of focus, this not the first time i mention it to you....

You seem to mix up my MA background i have been within Ju-Jutsu for 4 years at one time (but at that time i did not train anything else), i trained Ninjutsu for even more years then that and still i did not jump to other styles.....
I focused at one style at the time and i am still doing that, my background then sometimes helps me to even better understand the style, like with FMA first i did learn the Dacayana System, now i learn Balintawak....
Its hard enough if you dont have much background to learn a style without mixing up with things from other systems....

This does not mean once you get to a advanced level cant mix up the things (or some of them) or update you knowledge, but you have to be at a level where you understand these things and in our talks and your posts above you dont understand it........
For many people this might also take 6-10 years or more....

Nice....so here you again show the lack of understanding....
There is a saying in Denmark: "the way you train, is the way you fight".......

The reason for this saying is that it again and again has proven to be true, so if thats true lets saying you have 80% groundfighting and 20% Standing......"Since you fill in the blanks".....What would be you responds in a fight?

Yes, the correct answer is you would most likely go to the ground since you have 80% of you focus on ground fighting.....Now why is that bad? Well, try to ask UFC star Tito Ortiz he was at a BBQ party once where he got in a fight with a common guy and took him to the ground (as he learned in BJJ), what happen? The guy had a friend, who did not like that and K.O.ed Tito with a beer bottle....

Now a Martial Arts thats more street based, would have had focus on standing up and fighting, because there might be more then one opponent (friends) around....

But on the other hand if you need ground fighting for your sports tournaments, well then training to much standing might not make much sense, since you could be more skilled at the ground fighting if you only focused at that.......

But if you really want to have "standing fight" to fill in the blanks, there are many styles more sports like then Ninjutsu, as i told you Ninjutsu is not a sport, so you might want to seek one of those and not Ninjutsu, because if you really just want to fill in the blanks in your "game" (so you can tournament), then Ninjutsu is not for you....
Just trust me on this one, you will be wasting your time....

    @manhattan

with all due respect sir, the way you talk about our judo really insults us, you talk like you know very much about judo and referring it as "just a martial sport", let me tell you that what you see in olympic judo is just the tip of the iceberg. judo as you may know have two kinds, the sport side like what you said and people see on olympics and the martial art side which is often called as goshin jutsu judo, you can try to search in google or any search engine. goshin jutsu is part of judo which focuses more on self defense. and by the way ive never heard of sports ju jutsu, what is that? i have only heard of ju jutsu which is the root of judo but never heard of sport ju jutsu. ju jutsu can never be a sport because its very much dangerous and will surely injure its practiotioners.

Its called Sports Ju-Jutsu because it was aimed at sport, it was a mix of Aikido, Karate and Judo a German system (not Classic Ju-Jutsu as in Bujinkan). My instructor was number 3 at WM in a grappling tournament, and later won a lot of other tittles....

PS. That is was a mix means we had Judo classes from very good instructors and at the time, i was training 5 times a week, i have seen Judo before cardwell....
