its a rehash of literature. its a trimmed down idiots guide to an idiots world of conspiracy theories.
read eco's foucault pendulum, is way better in terms of interweaving history and fiction, and has a better conclusion that says it all about the genre itself, which dan brown and friends, and most especially fans did not get about, either because theyre the usual average joe who gets excited with something that is not even exciting or the pompous wandering idiot attempting to dress up as an intellectual.

da vinci code, not even exciting, its redundant and worse of all, it desperately attempts to be "original".

yes its not original, its obvious & of course its entirely fiction to you because your not a mason,
yes its presented in a fictional manner but there are truths in it,
yes its an incomplete or even a haphazard attempt to present some conspiracy theory,
but what i dont understand are your angry words like- pompous wandering idiot attempting to dress up as an intellectual, wow, this statement just sound like your describing yourself, im sorry the_child, but what are those words for?
either you agree or disagree based on your findings & thats just fair, but words like that makes me wonder the_child, why?

if I was a mason, n any lodge or strain , does it mean that my view to the book would change? If iwas an archaeoogist I would still look at a trash bin as a trash bin only renaming it as middens. So what do you mean becuase I am not a mason? Does it mean that I could not distinguish bs from something that is not? If I was? How could that be an angry statement? I was just being sincere with my observation especially when a panel was interview about the book. Brown answers the questions in the most mysterious ways and then there was this theosophist sorry nagpaila siya as one who answered the questions re the book in the most weird way, ultimate justification for the valdity of themes in he book which she supported was by meditation. Ugh. So tell me, if someone presents a rehash of work and presents It as a work of scholarship and yet its method is questionable to the point of being ridiculous, what do you call it if not pompous that borders idiocy?

do you have a fancier euphemism for that? and yes that was used as a euphemism: pompous wandering idiot attempting to dress up as an intellectual.

if i did described myself, you must have some probelm with biases - i never claim any of my posts as "scholarshiP"

I think there are some TRUTH and FACTS about the DA VINCI CODE from Adoration of the Magi to Vitruvian Man.

of course there are some truths to it: in teh film and in the book.

one of them, they are still iving in a logical world of physics - that is a truth.
That there actually exists a place in france they called Louvre - that is truth.
that there is a university called harvard- that is truth.
that there is an organization in the catholic church that is called opus die - that is truth
that Albinos do exists - that is truth ( not discriminating though, but the truth is there are albinos out there)

there are truths to it. no questions to that.

Considering the context of the Holy Grail, it is not surprising that the subject has polarized opinion for many years. Even so, it is rare for a novel to cause as much controversy as The Da Vinci Code. As this book goes to press, the figures for worldwide sales of Dan Brown's murder mystery are racing toward the six million mark, with sales set to go even higher on the release of the paperback version. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground in the reaction to the book - people either love it or hate it, a fact that makes the book the more extraordinary.

thats precisely the point you dont have the eye to appreciate what is hidden there & onle see what you consider as truth to you & the rest who claim to appreciate it as pompous, weird,
If you are a mason you would pierce through the seeming contradictions & see where dan browns insert the fiction, & that would make you more appreciate Dan brown, his artistic ability to make it palatable to both plain fiction readers & to those who are knowledgable of the craft,

& by the way being sincere doesnt have to follow that you make foul statements to people of differing opinions, sincerity has an element of kindness,
& your choice of words is for me not kind, you sound the very words your describing
