I suggest you get the MONTERO SPORT of MITSUBISHI out na ang 2.5L 4m41 yipee! consider the value of your money crisis na ron, anything above 1M is not a joke! basi magmahay ka after buying and im pretty sure magmahay ka sa fortuner.

    REG. FORTUNER

PROS: 1. cheaper than the rest that's true cheaper man gyud ang toyota compared sa uban pero maglabad kas serbisyo nila, Daghan consumer complain na file sa DTI against Toyota. Try to google it so you'll know.

CONS: 1. Bad service, 2. Bad quality, 3. Ugly ride, 4. Mag aslum imo nawng sa overall quality ug service sa toyota maypa ang KIA!

But for me the best ang Mitsubishi although mahal2x inig magpa repair/service ka, customer satisfaction man pud, talking about mitsu in CDO kay naman minda ako MS more than satisfied ko.

fyi down ang sales sa toyota 30% and i hope musunod nani sila sa GM :P

nindot man ang fort. if dli nganu gud tawn daghan nipalit diba? ila ingun bati daw ride and as master predo stated ni improve na ila ride some say kay tungod daw sa pag ilis sa stock tires. dunno how true.
not really sure if wa najud ang D4d problem or you can always opt to get the vvt-i gas variant.

tawaga daun si sir predo para naa dako discount

haha toyota against mitsu nsad ni na thread dugayan. we just got the 3.0L d4d fort.. so far no comment pako kay im still on the stage of looking for the cons. hehehe but so far nsad.. were very satisfied with the 163HP diesel engine. it runs 9-10kms/L.. not bad at all up for fortuner.

a lil comment on the montero coz thats one of the choices that we considered.. mitsu should change the rear design.. esp the tail light part.. IMO and also the driver's legroom. medyo maglisod ko ug drive considering dli mi gagmay na taw. hehehe

@ burn777: legroom sa montero? im not sure about that kay sa fortuner almost abot na sa ako legs ang steering wheel, ako pa elevate ang seat di na nako matuyok ang manubela. But no problem with the MS here, comforty as seated. Pero based on my observation mas nindot gihapon ang seating position with regard to legroom, height and etc sa pajero. And one more thing sa Fortuner dali ra maguba ang seat so if dili ka gamay nga tawo, be careful hahaha and take care of your back sa ka-untol sa fortuner you might need back braces in the future.

about d4d problem you'll have to drain water, the instruction is under your visor you might need to do it like every week just to prevent d4d troubles. And you would also appreciate Armour all on all rubber seals on every door just to prevent them from squealing in a couple of weeks from purchase, my brother does this like every three days just to stop the squealing and stuff, there is also problem about the brake nga mukurog, some lost their brakes you can google it if you want, just take note of common problems which is A LOT!!! or you can visit the fortunerclub.net for additional tips

I'm no anti-toyota here, if you really want the fort, then these are my tips based on experience. No hurt feelings. PEACE

kit_kat: daghan naka hibaw-an about cons sa fortuner. better test drive the unit para makahibaw gyud ka sa pros and cons sa unit.

I dont think bati ang quality sa among units, bcoz if bati na gyud amo qualtiy we would be like Mitsubishi nga ni kalit lang ka down ang company during sa ila recall sa Pajero and other units. Daghan serious accidents with the product is the US. Even with the World Economic Crissis we are still No. 1. try to check sa mga old units sa toyota and compare it to other brands nga same year model kung asa ang nag barog pa or shall we say Still in Running Condition. Compare a Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Daewoo, Kia, etc... na taxi. Unsa man na brand na taxi nga pinaka daan. and if you compare the resale value its not bad and its easy to sell in the future.

sir kenny same discount ra gyud akng ma hatag. parihas rami tanan ahente. heheheh

mao kung naglibog ka test drive lang, but i suggest consider pud and Ford Everest, Mits Montero Sport, Hyundai Santa Fe ug Kia Sorento

sa ako lang ok ra bya ning Fortuner, but there are better options. If only Honda has one, end of story dyud hehehe

its getting hot... again.. its mitsu and toyota.. haha but i think its an unfair competition.. i think it should not be toyota vs mitsu.. it should be toyota vs ford as they both have the most demands in the market. PEACE to mitsubishi owners. We really had the a bad experience with mitsubishi including headlights on fire (literally) and etc.. my family usually uses our vehicles to its fullest. we usually go to mountains, rigid terrains in mindanao to check for prospect subdivisions.

@TAMBOK: ur in cdo right? u should know the Roledas... they're my cousins. they know what weve been through with our mitsu b4.

mao. kining Everest ug Fortuner mao dyud ni pinaka daghan magdagan run sa mga 7-seater SUVs kada lingi naa dyud ko makitan either ani nila sa dalan. kung dili man gani ani nila, Sorento pud.

anyway, Fortuner looks better but ride is bad, Everest has a better ride like most Ford models are known for but unfortunately looks bad hehehe each brand/model has its pros and cons.

Just got the '09 Fortuner 2.7 VVT-i Gas @ Toyota Manila Bay so far very satisfied with it. The ride has improved over the old fortuner (we sold our old fortuner for the new '09).

Yes, the suspension could be softer. But when we add weight (for ex. 2 sacks of rice) the ride is a lot softer. Meaning, it was designed to handle heavier loads than its other compact-suv competitors.

Other things that should've came standard with the '09 fortuner:
    *power seat(s)
    *5-speed a/t
    *spare tire lock

Also, the 2.7 Gas variant is not really a "gas guzzler" as many has speculated. You get the response/power of the vvt-i gas engine with the advantages over diesel.

    Fortuner Gas vs. Diesel:
    *diesel has dirtier emission
*noisier than gas (will eventually worsen as years pass)
*excessive vibrations especially when it reaches 2years old+
    *high maintenance than gas
    *better engine response
    *warm-ups @ morning not necessary

The only advantage of the diesel (for me) is the very slightly lower consumption than the gas variant.

We also have the 3.0 4x4 Diesel Hilux so we really have an unbiased comparison between gas and d4d diesel engines.

just my opinion, i'm no automotive expert.
