The news yesterday said that AMD belongs to the top 15 list of the companies who are at risk of filing a "Default". But that doesn't mean that belonging to the list, AMD will really have to shutdown. Not filing a "default" means they can still pay their loans and other payables . I think they still have enough cash to survive for a few quarters even though they have small revenue every quarter. I am not a financial analyst but I can see that AMD has still a lot of strategies and initiatives just to raise their cash level.

Kabalo naman ta na kinsa to mga company na naa enough cash to pay for their monthly expenses- like (salary, utilities, etc.) - are the only ones to survive during this long-forecast recession.

AMD will still remain....cut off lang cguro with some expenses...cost reduction kumbaga...

the best is to sell their manufacturing firms to subcontractors...focus on marketing and so with research and development....

I agree with this 'cause I saw this business strategy in most semiconductor companies... In their business model, the Manufacturing is being outsourced to sub-contractors just to reduce the expenses... It is because Manufacturing holds most no. of employees compared to the RnD's, Marketing and Sales, etc.

bro, even before the turn of the decade they were already in the list. they may fall, but that is going to be after a very gruesome and violent fight for its existence...

    AMD DONT DIE.

im still in the process of assembling my new pc and i plan on using Phenom II X4 810 (am3) and also shifting to 4870x2 instead of gtx 260 which i first planned.
