im sure your card looks like this and your fan is just as small.

my temps of my 3850 averages 34-40 on idle and 55-60 on max load.

ive been on for 48hours+ now and playing games and browsing, randomly, i havent turned this computer off yet, and its still working like a charm, stable as it should be.

i wonder with your temps your card might just burn out eventually if you dont lower temps. i bet your max load will hit over 80+ C

yeah that's the card,, well good or you wala pa ka mi-crash, for my vcard ok man siya "working like a charm" delivering wow-graphics, but the problem is...

i will give the scenario para maka-sabot ka sir;
im playing silkroadonline, and i have 3 active accounts, what im doing is im using 3rd-party software to run those 3 accounts in 1 pc, mag-browse pud ko like istorya.net and watch movies online. so magalt-tab ko permi sa 3 ka accounts ug sa firefox, everytime i alt-tab within the 4 programs mo-hang siya nya mogawas ang VPU error, now this happens for 3-5 times.. at the 6th vpu error mo-restart na gyud siya. nya mogawas ang error nga ati driver is not responding the system needs to reboot.

you know how to solve this sir?

you can probably order from sir lunch, just pm him. he sometimes takes orders from people here. gipakapin naman ni niya sa radeon hd 4850 ang accelero, which was a real bargain hehe... intimidating cya at first pero you'll appreciate its size once you start punishing your card. i had to remove my firewire card for this, it eats up two slots. pero its a welcome compromise.

ah whats your catalyst version and is your VPU enable recover checked? both of these info can be found from CCC.

also check your load and temperature, could be due to stress that your VPU keeps crashing, whats your operating system also?

sometimes im playing and alt tab out to browse abit and play again. never have gotten a VPU error. could be the card again if your Drivers and OS arent solving it

The VPU error , rather bug has been around even before the 9700Pro days.. i cant believe till now wala pana ma fix..

80c is nothing alarming really, the lower GPU's can operate at a higher temp compared to its flagship model but of course having lower temps means longer GPU life and reduced electricity consumption.

@lokster, the catalyst im using is the one from the site. and yes i enabled vpu, cause as ive said it keeps on getting vpu errors and without vpu errors it would resort to a lethal bluescreen.

@earlz that sucks for ATI sir.and bad news for me

@ handsoff, what is the version number of CCC? also what happens if you dont have so much going on in your screen? like either browse or game? actually game or browse its suppose to handle everything fine.

VPU error could be driver corruptioin, Have you tried the safe method of removing drivers:

1. Boot into safemode.
2. Uninstall your drivers.
3. Restart computer.
4. Boot into safe mode.
5. Use Driver Sweeper and wipe all traces of drivers.
6. Restart computer.
7. Boot into safemode.
8. Install new drivers.
9. Restart.
